Independence Firefighters, Local 2629 was established in 1978, proudly serving the residents and people passing through Independence Township as well as the City of the Village of Clarkston. The 30 members of Local 2629 have participated in multiple charity and community events over the years, some of them being, MDA Fill the Boot, Wreaths Across America, DRAW (Disaster Relief at Work), and multiple giving-tree organizations! All members of Local 2629 are represented by 4 Executive Board members; President Frankie Cruz, Vice President Nick Wilson, Secretary Brandon Bonner, and Treasurer Cody Bridger.
